Perimenopause & Midlife Therapy in Illinois
It’s become a buzzword, but women still don’t have enough space to talk about the symptoms of midlife and how they reshape daily life. Together, we’ll name what’s happening and integrate it in a way that makes sense for you.
The season nobody warned you about
We deserve to understand, process, and integrate these changes in ways that fit our lives. Together we’ll work on identifying, naming, and processing the symptoms of this stage, and I’ll help you problem-solve, including figuring out who to follow up with and how. I hold a Women’s Mental Health Specialist certificate with a focus on perimenopause.
Common threads in this work
Mood changes, irritability, and the way hormones ripple into everything
Midlife identity shifts — who you are now versus who you thought you’d be
Loneliness, exhaustion, and the sense of time slipping
Late-diagnosed ADHD and finally making sense of lifelong patterns
Long-term relationship strain and the gap between expectation and reality
When the mask cracks: late-diagnosed ADHD
For many women, midlife is when an ADHD brain finally gets named and a lifetime of “why is this so hard for me?” suddenly makes sense. We’ll work on understanding your wiring, grieving the years of self-blame, and building systems and self-compassion that actually fit how your brain works.
FAQ

Therapy can’t replace medical care for hormonal symptoms, but it gives you a place to process the emotional and identity changes of this stage, build coping strategies, and figure out who else to loop in. I hold a Women’s Mental Health Specialist certificate with a perimenopause focus.

I don’t provide formal ADHD testing, but many women I work with arrive in midlife realizing their patterns line up with ADHD. We can explore that together, make sense of how it shows up, and I can direct you to excellent providers who can do that in tandem with our work

No. While much of my work is with moms, I support women through perimenopause and midlife whether or not they have children.
