Therapy for New & Expecting Moms in Illinois

Becoming a mom is overwhelming, and you deserve space to process the changes and fears that come with it — from shifts in your mood and body to the way your relationships change. As a mom myself, I get the need for a safe place to say the questions, fears, and even the darkest thoughts out loud.

Pregnancy through the first two years

Maybe you’re used to having everything figured out, but motherhood is unlike anything you expected. Perhaps you’re struggling to find joy, or feeling low or guilty. Whatever you’re feeling, I provide a non-judgmental space to explore it honestly. Sometimes we don’t even know what we’re feeling. We just know something doesn’t feel quite right. Together, we can work through that uncertainty and build tools to make this time more manageable. (And yes, if you want to show me pictures of your little one, I love that.)

Trying to conceive, loss, and PMDD

I also work with women who are contemplating motherhood, trying to conceive, experiencing pregnancy loss, or newly pregnant. I hold a Women’s Mental Health Specialist certificate with a focus on perinatal loss and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). These experiences are often carried silently but they don’t have to be.
